About the festival

Holmfirth Arts Festival 14 – 17 June 2018

Four days of music, art, comedy, theatre, literature in the town of Holmfirth preceded by an extensive community engagement programme of inspiring things to do in the Holme Valley.

We celebrate the people, culture, heritage, creativity and landscape of this beautiful part of Yorkshire, inviting audiences to enjoy events in picturesque streets, village halls and churches, cafes and teashops, Holmfirth’s atmospheric Picturedrome, up on the hills overlooking the town and in the surrounding natural environment. If you already know Holmfirth and the Valley, the festival is an opportunity to see it a little differently. If you’ve not yet discovered this lovely part of Yorkshire then June is the perfect time to visit!

No event runs itself and the success of Holmfirth Arts Festival relies heavily  on the support of a talented group of paid workers and volunteers – to whom we say a massive thank you!
