Local artists scoop festival sculpture trail prizes

A local artist and city centre arts organisation have scooped the prizes in the Holmfirth Arts Festival ‘Art in the Woods’ sculpture trail competition.

After ten spectacular days of shows, workshops, screenings, exhibitions and parades, Holmfirth Arts Festival 2016 is finally over! Director Fiona Gohlooks back at this year’s festival.

We did it! What a wonderful Festival we’ve had, and thanks to everyone who took part, came and watched, and helped make it the best Festival ever.  We had record numbers of people participating in the Festival, from the opening Creature Carnival parade to the wonderful Art in the Woods, a new community song cycle about Fenella the tiger and many other events in between...

Holmfirth’s famous friendly tiger celebrated at #HAFest2016



The life of Holmfirth’s famous friendly tiger, Fenella, who lived in the town during the 1940s, will be celebrated at this year’s Holmfirth Arts Festival.
