Holmfirth Arts Festival is ten days of music, art, comedy, theatre, literature and inspiring things to do in the market town of Holmfirth and the surrounding Holme Valley. It reflects the character and history of the area, with a unique local resonance, while being ground-breaking and ambitious, so this is a great opportunity to create a local festival of regional and national significance.

Please keep an eye on this page for further details about the role of Festival Director.

There are several ways to contribute to Holmfirth Arts Festival, depending on what you’d like to do, what your skills and experience are, and how much time you’d like to commit. Working with the festival is rewarding, fun and hard work.

The Festival Team supports the Festival Director year-round in areas of event planning and delivery, including support with marketing and fundraising.  During the last year, the Festival Team has planned and organised fundraising events; distributed brochures, posters and publicity throughout the Holme Valley and beyond; helped set up venues; ran merchandise stalls and bars at the Festival; stewarded at events; provided accommodation and hot meals for artists – and many more things besides!

The team is supported by Festival Volunteers during the event itself so if you want to commit for a shorter period, maybe this is for you.

If you would like to get involved with the Festival team as a volunteer we would love to hear from you, either to help us year-round or to volunteer to work on specific events. Whatever your availability and interests, we can offer you a rewarding and fun experience. Email info@holmfirthartsfestival.co.uk to find out how you can get involved, or speak to one of our team during the festival.
