The 2026 Holmfirth Arts Festival took place in June, with participation thoughout May, across the Holme Valley, concluding the final year of its three-year Flow programme. The festival brought together performances, new commissions, workshops and community events celebrating creativity in the landscape. Central highlights included the inaugural New Streams Emerging Talent Showcase and co-created River of Art trail and the Townships in Flow parade, with schools, community groups, artists and volunteers contributing to ambitious shared projects. Accessibility and inclusion remained at the heart of the programme, alongside a continuing commitment to environmental sustainability. Overall, the festival strengthened its place-based identity by connecting people, heritage and landscape through creative participation and collective celebration.
