About the event

Cellist, Slow Cooked Louie (Louie Barby) collaborating with visual artist Jada Loin, presents a new music commission for Holmfirth Arts Festival, The Drowned Giant. Adapted from the J G Ballard story of the same name, the concert explores ideas of identity and empathy in a world troubled with climate anxiety.

Deconstructing  the narrative through an exploration of sound, words and visual imagery, Louie creates a vivid experience that challenges ideas of our separation from nature.
